Dr. Michael Brooks was raised in Nashville, TN, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, serving as Student Body President while completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Brooks pursued a three-year residency in Orthodontics at UAB, where he earned a Master of Science degree. He also successfully completed the written exam for American Board of Orthodontics certification during his residency.

Outside the Office

Dr. Brooks lives in Birmingham with his wife, Leslie, and their four sons, Wyatt, Carter, Miller, and Denton. The Brooks family is active at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and Dr. Brooks enjoys coaching youth sports, golfing, fishing, hunting, music, and cheering on college football.
